Dixon1990
I have hundreds of them.. They are small redish snails that are alway stuck to the glass on their side :-? In the same tank i have ramshorns and trumpetsnails. Cheers
alanmin4304
If they sit upright like red or brown ramshorns they are their babies. If they are the same shape but on their side they are the pain in the but snails which I don't know the name of. Clown loaches love them. Lynnie
Are they a cone shape? If they are they are trumpet snails. They are a pain to get rid of. I got some in one tank and had to boil the shingle to get rid of them. As had no loaches. The red and brown ramshorn can all be removed very easy. enzoom1
While we're talkin bout snails, does anyone know the name of these snails that stick to the glass on their side and they're pale/transparent?
oeminx
Are these the snails you are talking about dixon, they are about 5mm in size. i am currently fighting a battle to get rid of them. I'm thinking of getting a group of chain loach to eat them.
alanmin4304
Mrs Google thinks they may be Planorbidae.
Ira
Anyone in Wellington happen to have an infestation they'd be happy to share? I'd like a few hundred snails, not worried about type, they'll be going into a tank outside to breed.

Dixon1990
On the bright side the loaches will be happy =D I wont be though  Its supposed to be a South american/amazon based tank, and the loaches will be near impossible to catch
