henward
yeah thats what i heard i have a royal already - but i was considering a scarlet too. but the scarlet almost looks like a normal pleco with red fins... hence why i like the royal but those spotted ones are nice though. henward
well its cool i mean it is novelty it looks like skeletor as a catfish its bony obstruction from its body and stuff and head it really is novelty nd it cleans up the tank well after the jardinii has eated and shredded food, and it survives the jardiniii which is a plus. how much are those ones ? are they panaques or the ones that eat more algae? you selling? i want ones that retain colour as they get old
firenzenz
If anything they will get more definite black and white as they grow. They'll get about 25cm eventually. Same genus as gold nugget- omnivore Nice fish.
firenzenz
Ah! Re-read. The first pic is L168- Butterfly or flounder plec. Will only get to 10c-12cm. Algae eater and colouring can change quite dramatically on different backgrounds or stressed

Keep on persisting with the algae wafers. Mine eats plenty of them. Seems to prefer Hikari but will eat other brands. Give them heaps of cover (bogwood) as well as they are relatively shy. If you buy another one look for ones that are in good condition, i.e. eating well. They are sometimes imported a little on the skinny side.
