Billaney
Doesn't someone have to see the parents and the fry to make sure your not lyeing? Yes another club member has to come over and sign the registration form saying they have seen them.
Guest
Sweet as. I'll see how I go at raising them. How long did yours take for their egg sack to go. I can't really see an egg sack on my ones :-?
Billaney
just a day or so .... good luck, the 30 days starts when YOU see 10 free swimming fry.
cichlid7
going a bit off topic but does someone from another club have to come around to check once free swimming and then in another 30 days or just the once after 30 days? and can it just be any member of a club or is there someone from each club that checks? Congrats on the fry
Billaney
A person does not have to see them on day 1, depending on your club rules as far as your clubs breeding coordinators “nominating" others to view breeding for him but I’d recommend someone from your own club. Guest
Where should the fry hang out mostly? Mine hang out around the bottom, is this normal?
caserole
To begin with Cam that is normal, in a few days to a week they will be all over the place particularly the around the a sponge filter if you have one in with them. Guest
How big/old do they have to be before I can sex them?
caserole
From memory(which is a little rusty)about 1-1.5cm. You will see the colour show first on the males anal fin(the deep brown strip displays first). If your female fry show this pattern ditch them as they are not supposed to have it, unfortunately it does appear from time to time.
Guest
Some of them are a yellow colour and others are a browny colour. does this mean anything?
