Insect Direct
livingart thats a great setup is that treated timber then painted with polyurethane for frame work? DonnaM's - nice setup to i like the mesh idea to aid them climbing out of the water I learnt somthing new today
DonnaM
Thanks Mincie, yes that plastic mesh has been used for all sorts over the years. I had a nice gentle sloped area on other side of pond...and turtles decided they prefered the narrow area by the fence  .....so out came the mesh again
livingart
thanks mincie its treated timber thats been stained navarre the sides rollup on fine days and 3 roof panels come off lights at night to attract the bugs in donna is that snow in the first pic ture? DonnaM
Yes thats snow in the first picture. Cold!!! At that time turtles were all in my house or enclosure you can see at back of picture. I'd got too many new 'rescue' ones just before winter (12), so hadn't hibernated them. Maybe this yr I'll try hibernating and they can sleep beneath the snow

repto
you got filtration in the pond or just drain and refill?
livingart
have a pump in there, but at the moment drain and refill is cheaper than the power bill trying to find a solar unit to put on it
