imsweet
Thought the same myself,,, i guess it is if you intend on drinking them. Really it's no worse than seeing bettas in tiny display bowls with hardly any water, no filtration, no life (IMO).
Dixon1990
I might buy it
whetu
Actually that looks awfully unappealing. Why would anyone consider buying it based on that photo?! (Except Dixon of course )
Dixon1990
Of course i wouldnt keep them in that thing!
firenzenz
Morally or ethically I am ambivalent. But on a style, taste level that is sooooo wrong!! In the old days we had to put filters on lens's to alter colour etc. They also did cheesy rainbow or starburst filters. the shot looks like the before shot in the brochures they put out. Tsarmina
if they were local i would buy it. i would then put the minnows with my other 35 outside in the pond, and put the glass away in the cupboard.

If it doesnt go for a silly price, I will buy it and put it in a pond or tank with some more.
Catfish
I'd never buy it. It would only encourage them to sell more
Cheesejawa
That is a disgusting thing to do. Things like that should be taken down from trademe.

whetu
That is a disgusting thing to do. Things like that should be taken down from trademe. Everyone here who is a trademe member should report that listing on the basis that it is cruel to the live animals for sale. That's what I am going to do.
Tsarmina
I'd never buy it. It would only encourage them to sell more i understand your point, i was only thinking of the quality of life for the fish
whetu
I have reported this listing as a breach of TradeMe's conditions. "Pets and animals Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, horses and ponies, may not be auctioned. These animals must be listed in their correct category as a classified ad. This is to prevent the seller from being obliged to sell the animal to an unsuitable home. You are able to include your contact phone number in the listing." This listing inherently requires the animals (in this case fish) to be sold to an unsuitable home because the 'home' they are in is unsuitably small. I know it's a stretch but it's the best I could do!
