Great day out

We thoroughly enjoyed the first sunny day we have had for many weeks. We headed down the Kaikoura coast with the MX5 club.

First we were held up by this...

We then visited this...

and enjoyed lunch here (the ugly big green thing wasn't with us  )...

Would be interesting to see how it handled with all the weight over the front, they're a well balanced little car and can handle quite well. I'd pick a 13b or just supercharge the factory 1800, but as you said, each to their own.

Oh yeah, looks like a good day out! Where was the train?

The handling of that car is lousy but it goes well in a straight line. It doesn't like corners. We have seen that car "in the flesh" and talked to the owner. Very nice installation with a great V8 burble exhaust. In fact I have a number of up close photos of it.

The train was in Blenheim on its way south.
