skaffen
Yep, Giant Reign 2 over here. I try to get over to Vegas every other weekend in summer/autumn/spring, stay at the Blue Lakes camp ground. Hamilton has the Poo-kete MTB track, plus a few trails around the river, but I prefer Vegas...
David R
Got a kona coilair I'm going to part out in favour of something a bit lighter and more pedalable. Ride at woodhill, riverhead, dome valley, parahaki (occasionally) and keep meaning to go to vegas but something always seems to come up... davidb
bro, when he said mountain-biking, I think he was talking the real type- XC, not the type where you get a lift to the top of the mountain, or spend your whole life jumping of/over things! Mountain biking is mountain biking, be it free riding, cross country racing, endurance trail riding, or just mucking around on jumps and structures. There is no "real" mountain biking. FYI what is now known as mountain biking started with the likes of Joe Breeze and Gary Fisher doing downhill runs on gravel forestry roads on their "clunkers".... davidb
I was being a tease david. And yes, I used to race road (did a 4.20 around Taupo (the 160km) if that means anything to a non roadie). Used to race XC also, i think I did a 4.10 for the Colville classic when I was
tHEcONCH
I'm a former Roadie scratch rider who now tools about on an '06 S-Works Enduro DoIN dA MADHUXXX au!!??!?!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
David R
 you hit a nerve, its one thing that really irks me. Skiirs bagging snowboards, roadies bagging mountain bikers, downnhillers bagging xc riders etc (an all vice versa of course). Can't we just all show some love! When I started riding most of the xc guys would race the downhill too (often on the same bike), there was only one person in the whole club who had front suspension. tHEcONCH
I still ride road, XC, and 'aggressive trail/mini DH' whichever / whenever the mood takes me. The best thing about all those petty rivalries is winding those idiots up

skaffen
The last 24 hour race I did, I got passed by a Raleigh 20 and an old school 10 speed. In my defence, they were serious riders, but still... Pretty surreal at 3AM Thankfully none of the unicyclists passed me, that would have been too much.
