I got it with a bulk lot of fish and the person selling them (not the owner) said they thought it was a different type. It certainly looks similar to my bns but not the same. I know bn vary in looks so thought I would ask.

looks like a nice adult female who has been kept in a tank with either dark gravel or a dark piece of driftwood. any i put in with white gravel tend to go very light and blotchy in colour and those in the darker tanks stay a dark brown

That's very interesting to know and would explain mine which are in a white gravel tank and are dark brown with light brown spots.... very cool. Nice fish Adodge!!!

yes, that was interesting to read. Most of my others are blotchy.

Heres a couple more pics of them. The first is the same female.

the bottom pic is one of the less bristled males in the tank. Theres another to the right of the pic. I think there are 4 males and 1 female but never see the 5 at the same time.
