si_sphinx
I have two new fish and i need help to identifying them. I haven't seen them before which is why i brought them. first fish is a browny and yellow stripped in a bit of a darker light but kind of looks as if its got a slight blue tinge to it now. and the second has a lot of yellow around his head and a purpley blue on the rest of his body. they both look similar but in certain lights the second fish, his colours become more prominent and the first fish goes yellow and brown similar to a female Pseudotropheus crabro (bumble bee)

Navarre
Si, your male takeaguess looks more like a male afra than a takeaguess. Navarre
Afrikan
Si The tropheops that your one came from did not come into the country with any given variant, so ID on variant is unknown, just Ps. tropheops. So that is all they can or should be labelled. We have a colony and have bred for us, and they are a beautiful fish. They do infact look exactly like a picture in Ad Konings book, there are some beautiful variants out there.
