Zev
Oooo...evil stare! We have a cat resident on top of one of our tanks at the moment - until half an hour after lights out, then she appears on our bed!

Ira
What does winter have to do with it? My cats are on the tanks year round.
suphew
Anyone else had the cat not notice the top was off when doing a water change. Hahaha funniest think to see, never seen a cat move so fast or look so embarrassed
Zev
No, but our cat has fallen in the water change bucket whilst trying to balance on the rim to get a drink when it was only a quarter full.
whetu
When I was a kid my brother had a goldfish (in a bowl of course). We had an adult cat who would drink the water out of the bowl, but then we got a kitten who would balance on the edge of the bowl and try to catch the fish. One day Mum caught the kitten trying to catch the fish so she snuck up behind it and pushed it in! The kitten never balanced on the edge again and never tried to catch the fish. It took a long time before it would even drink out of the bowl again.

puttputt
I think it was whetu's Mum, not the cats.
whetu
Yeah it was my mum. I thought it was a terrible thing to do at the time, but I have to admit it worked!
FreedingFrenzy
Well the same thing happened to my cat when he was a kitten, he continuously tried fishing in our fish pond out back, then one day he fell in, jumped straight back up and my mum caught him mid-flight. Very amusing, and he never went back! (Dont worry - we did eventually put mesh on top of the pond to stop birds and cats!)
