still yet to have luck with breeding.

Wish I knew what i was doing...lol

Have a read up of the following sites - www.bcbetta.com & www.bettatalk.com. They are pretty good or just good breeding betta splendens. The guidelines are pretty similar and seem to be accurate. You can contact me and come over for a look at what I do if you wish. Just pm me. I am in Epsom near Market Rd.

So have you tried to breed them again? Some pics of your fighters would be nice I always like looking at other peoples fighters. If he doesn't like the cup I'd use a plastic lid. My male doesn't use a cup but can build a huge bubble nest ovcer night under a lid. It all depends on your male. What type of fighters are they? Where do you house all your male fighters??

Yes but not having much luck with hexagon Breeding tank, Males seem to blow bubbles in holders in Community Tank. Will take pictures over next week. Veil tails mainly I Believe. Males are held in Holding containers with Community tank which house 8-9 Females. Am soon to be getting my thrid Tank Tonight with 2 or 3 more Fighters.

Could be several reasons -

the most likely one being stress. Fish need time to settle into their new environment. Sticking them in with a male or near males, fiddling around too much shifting them around or whatever will cause it. Leave them in peace for a few weeks.

even when you do all your research and prep these guys are still tricky ay. I have got mine to breed successfuly but it all depends on the fish and the setup and timing. Its quite an art. It took me a long time to get mine going but with pacience and keep at it you will get it.
