Guest
Hi guys, My me and my mum want to breed a fish. I mainly want one that the fry grow fast and my mum just wants to breed a fish. Does anyone have any ideas what fish will breed easy and the fry will grow fast. I was thinking BNs but my "female" is small and will take a while to grow. Thanks Cam

Guest
A bit to big for where I want to put them. They have to live in a 2ft community tank and can breed in a 1ft

Guest
Dixon1990: Yeah I've got a group of bronze corys (4M and 1F) so could maybe breed them (although they haven't done anything before.). Snookie:I don't really mind. I've bred platies but they take forever to grow to sellable age. What else could I try?

Barrie
great words of wisdom there Caserole Killis... not all that fast at growing but interesting to gather eggs wait for fry then grow them on
caserole
Nothobranchius are very fast growing as you will know, egg to breeding size in 6 - 7 weeks if you feed them right.
Barrie
just a bit harder to keep healthy for a person just starting on breeding. I know they only really need salt but simpler with mop spawners I think
Guest
Im not sure about mum but I like breeding them for fun, because they're interesting and because eventually a tank of fish being the same same soon gets boring. I've been breeding platies for about a year and have been breeding fighters for a few months. Can killies be kept in a community tank? If so what would be the best begginers killies?
