dwalk
I just checked my 150L Community tank, and found a single dead Kuhli Loach After running Nitrate, Nitrite and Ammonia tests, which all came back as 0, and observing all other fish looking healthy, what other causes of death should I consider? It's a lightly stocked tank containing 5 Kuhli Loaches 4 Pearl Gourami, 2 Cherry Barbs 3 Glass Bloodfin tetra 4 Bristlenoses. 5 plants Water temp is 25 Deg C, no added salt. Last water change 1 week ago Any suggestions anyone?

Caryl
No way to tell without any visible symptoms. Know anyone who can do an autopsy? That is the only way to know.
dwalk
The Kuhli loach looked fine, no obvious marks, nothing different anywhere It was only approx 6 months old.
ryanjury
It sucks when that happens I put it down to a random death, maybe the fish ate a stone, got a random infection or something? Or one of its organs just gave out.. I guess all animals can just die for no apparent reason Short of being a fish guru and disecting them to see what happened you probably won't know.. David R
It happens some times, my 18" fire eel just dropped dead one day. It was active and [appeared] healthy when i left for work, came home and it was sitting on the bottom dead.
Matthew
Lupus is a disease that is always suggested as a reason for someones medical problem on House. It tends to never be Lupus on the show, and from memory I think the time they did think it really was lupus it ended up not being.
Ant N
Same thing happened to me , everything looked alright last night but this morning .... one dead and half eaten girraffe, damn... short time later I noticed one of the female bristle noses upsidedown and very still..Crap . Panic water change (10%) everything still checks out fine , sometimes UFD happens.
