fins
Hey Does anyone know where I can get a starter culture of vinagar eels? I looked on that NZ insectory website and they didnt have any. thanks
Alan
Why do you need them? Micro-worms or baby brine shrimp are a lot easier to work with. Anything needing smaller food can be started on "green-water" Alan
Conaquavict
Have you tried aquabid?
fins
The problem would be getting them into the country, MAF is very strict here in NZ
Alan_au
To cultivate vinagar eels I use 500 gr coffee jars with a 10mm hole drilled in the lid and some VERY fine SS mesh glued over the hole (Tarzans grip works). Half fill the jar with pure cider vinagar and add a 1cm cube of fresh apple and 100 ml water. V eels are a great intermediate food between infusoria and BBS or micro worms for tiny fry like tetras, rasboras or anabantids. Alan contact me Email, MSN or ICQ
Caryl
I think you will have a hard time finding a culture of vinegar eels in NZ.
