Caryl
Hmm, perhaps candles and a little Barry White might help 8)
Slightly Blue Dalmation
not really what i meant, does the extra light help them in a day night cycle a bit more normal for them as they are in the corner behind my other thank so it is quite dark, but it shouldnt matter? Adrienne
sorry, I know what you meant but I don't know enough about these fish to be able to help
Slightly Blue Dalmation
in general fish terms does it help?
Adrienne
I only leave the lights on after my fish have laid the eggs, turn them down so there is a smaller amount of light. That way the adults can see and tend to the eggs. I only have kribs and fighters that lay BTW. I don't worry about it while I'm waiting for them to spawn. Slightly Blue Dalmation
haha its ok caryl its just been a long day at work. ok so by the sounds of it it shouldnt matter much if they dont have a light on the tank which isnt bad as it saves me buying a light for it
DutchKiwiCowboy2
I have my breeding tanks set up in an east facing room since a lot of fish are triggered by early morning sunlight. and the ones that prefer a midday party still get plenty of light. :bounce:
AMAZONIAN
Hi All When I breed "Dwarf's" I have them in a tank with very low light levels. Stop and think about their native habitat:....In dark caves, and on the ceiling as well. Good luck
