wilson
how about a candycane or sun coral?
wasp
Nice tank Nemines, nice pink coraline. I think you should get some zoanthids to grow on those rocks. just a few 10 cent piece size colonies dotted around, will start spreading and add some nice colours. Sapphire
Have you checked out http://www.nano-reef.com They have some great coral ideas and their tank of the month at the moment is an 80L I believe. Although we can't get all the coral here still worth a look!
reef
Leather corals might be a good addition. Capnella , Sinularia etc, You should be able to keep most corals in your tank.
nemines
thanx guys, i'll keep an eye out for some nice leathers, i quite like brains as well. do you think i've got room for an anenome for my maroon clown? i don't mind not getting any more corals if that's what i need to do. davidb
didn't you have an anenome before, nemines? White with blue tips?
nemines
indeed i did... . that was before i had my skimmer, i had been doing water changes every three days of 25%. i went on holiday and when i came back the nitrate had soared during my absence and sadly my anemone didn't recover, despite my best efforts. reef
Getting a anemoe in that small tank with the Tunze nano pumps could be a problem. I find that anemoes seem to always find the pumps and the nanos can cause damage.
nemines
ill go without one then. i'm sure my clown won't mind too much, he's grown quite attached to his rock. however, would it be possible for her to inhabit a torch, hammer or frogspawn coral? or would they generally be too small to host my maroon? tHEcONCH
It's personal preference, but I like to try and 'balance' colour, so maybe something like a yellow leather of something might look good on the right?
