David R
Since coming out of brumation Chester has been hyperactive! Running around, climbing, jumping, and trying to run up the glass in the corner of the tank!! He kinda props himself up on his tail and trys to climb the glass, sometimes getting all four feet off the ground and just standing on his tail. Does anyone elses beardy do this? Anyway, he must have tired himself out doing it tonight and crashed whent he lights went off..... As we found him when we got home, half an hour after lights out.

Jezza
Sorry is brumation like a moderate form of hibernation..?
henward
yeah, mine does that especially when hungry i dont know isometimes think they associate people around the tank with food, so they get hyper. when i come around the tank, it starts to do exactly what you are saying, so i feed it. well ii usually feed it when i come aorund the tank anyways. ExotherMan
Mine do that all the time My male beardies, blueys and water drags all come out of brumation 'hyper' and hasle the girls to no end... which is kindof the point Its really noticeable with the beardies and blueys as they arnt near as active as my water dragons normally anyway

Varanophile
he's looking to establish his territory for breeding, and possibly being a bit more aggressive to his own reflection than normal. weird time to brumate him, why you do it now? David R
You'd better ask him that, we did nothing other than add sand to his tank about 3-4 months ago, then he decided he could burrow under a flat rock and go to sleep!! :-?
