repto
when people have things as personal posessions they can house them how they like. The perfect example of this would be the domestic cat!there are thousands running loose all over nz in varying degrees of domestication.Killing and maiming all sorts of wildlife ,native and otherwise. We have had the same thing with people breeding ferrets and then releasing them when there was no financial return or it just got too much to care for them properly.Koi carp, deer, pigs ,goats, the list goes on and on.We have had recent events with mosquitos and painted apple moth that have resulted in huge ariel spraying to try and erdicate them.To have the same scenario with snakes would be too much for us kiwis to take(we have a genetic fear of snakes)we would all have to pack up and move to......somewhere there ain`t no snakes!!
