Mrs Frog
wow our neons are over $4 each and guppies are between $9-$14!!! EACH! I would love to be able to get fish for $2.50 each. Pays to know the breeders huh.
ryanjury
Retail prices in Auckland were very low for 10 neon's think it was around $18 when I was last up there.. Guess its all about competition and all that stuff, maybe they have a local breeder or just make less than the others. Think guppies are common feeders because they breed easier and faster than neon's..

Ira
You're an idiot if you're just going to a pet shop and buying guppies or neons as feeders. Just buy a handful of guppies for say $5 each that's $25. After a month they're $.25 each. After 2 months they're $.025 each. After 3 months they're $.0025 each. Are we seeing a trend yet? I hope you weren't referring to me as I would never use fish as feeder fish, I think its wrong.

Cheesejawa
I dont really need feader fish but I was confused about why u hear of guppys as feeders when neons are cheaper. Im just interested

Guest
Because if you buy a a trio of guppies for $15 and then bred them and get 60 fry from them that would make it a lot cheaper than buying 60 neons at $2 each.
