Well I decided to upgrade my point-n-shoot camera and purchased my first DSLR camera. I got the Canon 400D which came with the kit lens. Here a few decent pics of my first attempt at using the camera with the kit lens. Hope you guys enjoy.

My large Bosemani rainbow (at least 3 years old now):

Red Irian rainbow:

Left side of my 4 foot tank:

My group of clown loaches (3-5 years old):

Some of the clown loaches snuggling at the front glass:

Reloaded as 640x428 size (reduced from 1024x768).

The linked images are way smaller then the width of my screen?? Any links to the high res ones??

Anyway, nice pics, wish I could get something remotely as clear ;) Mind you, cleaning the glass would help me out heaps :)

Have fun with the camera. I know when I was using a mates "only 5 megapixel" dslr I was getting pics a hell of a lot better then I ever got out of my compact, and that was just on auto.

They possiblty "do" fit acrioss your screen... but the average viewing area for most members is 1024 x768.. (This is FULL SCREEN))......Pics needs to be about 640x480...).... the ones above are over 1024 wide........so we need to cater to the average needs... not just the ones with the latest flat screens viewing at 1280x720 and higher.

So what resolution are "you " viewiing at...?

Read the guisdelines.... there's plenty of referecnces to the acceptable size.

Can' really see the prob... as Photobucket does the resising automatically if you set it up..... do it once and forget it.

I'm only running at 1280x960 on this machine and thats video card limitations because its an old 16 meg card and drops to 65k color if I go any higher, the other is normally at 1600x1200 but its not on at the moment. I had a look at the guidelines, and at those low res'es its hard to see anything. I would still like to see the higher res ones since its to see what it looks like then the horrid over compressed photobucket ones.

Very few here would view full time at 1289X690... or1600x 1200 .... although most modern machines are capable of it.... but many are not... and this is what we cater for.

The suggested size is 640X480

Half the size you are viewing at.
