paul_r
Anyone used the volcanic rock obsidion in their tanks? I think it would look neat having the whole bottom of the tank covered in obsidion, along with a black back of tank it would really bring out the colours in the tank. Would it affect the ph of water etc?
Dixon1990
i was going to ask this a while ago as i have quite a bit of obsidion somewhere.
alanmin4304
I think it would be relatively inert as it is volcanic glass I think.

fishy_t
Yeah its pretty much natural glass so it won't change the water, but couldn't the fish hurt themselves on its sharp edges??!
Tsarmina
Yeah its pretty much natural glass so it won't change the water, but couldn't the fish hurt themselves on its sharp edges??! that is my main concern too. obsidian is extremely sharp.
