Janelle
You are welcome to run your filter in my tank or you can just take one of my filter sponges if you like. My tank is not that large.
BK
I've got heaps of tanks that can do the job or just swap medium when required. BK
Slightly Blue Dalmation
Ah cool sweet, mite just be easiest getting some media off you when i get the tank, then i should only need to cycle for maybe a week?
BK
If you get some medium the tank will be ok to stock after a day with some "cycle" added just in case. What kind of filter are you getting, always better to buy one bigger than you need for when you increase tank size.
Slightly Blue Dalmation
um it a fluval external rated for 200l but tank gunna hold bt 180l
BK
I don't know what they come with but fill it with noodles. When you get the tank run the filter with just the carbon in it to clean any residue from the tank over nigth and then we can swap noodles and you'll be all go. tHEcONCH
I'd recommend that whatever else you do, splash out on a bottle of JBL 'Filterstart' - I've had really good results with it - it seems to get the tank over the Nitrite spike really quickly
