alanmin4304
Any number over a pair will result in major domestics if two decide they are more than just good friends.
Slightly Blue Dalmation
so probably two if they are gunna play that game? even if they are put in as babies?
Ianab
You could put 4 small ones in initially, but you might have to take 2 of them out later if the others pair up. With a tank that size there isn't enough space for a pair to set up a territory AND the other fish to keep out of their way. Cheers Ian
SpidersWeb
You could start with 4, or maybe even a few more. As they grow up you'll need to get rid of some. Personalities, size, and sex all have an affect on how things will go. Angels (like many cichlids) can be rather unpredictable.
alanmin4304
I used to put in at least 5, then you have a very good chance of getting a pair and sell the rest. They are hard to sex until breeding size and usually do better if allowed to sort out partners themseves

Slightly Blue Dalmation
ah k sweet, how long do they usually take before they get to breeding age?
BK
Angels are nice but can be a real hassel in your tank, have you thought about other fish. With big angels they could clean the tank out of every thing else you put in there. May be some one on here could give you some options, I'ld say Discus but they can be quite expenize. Slightly Blue Dalmation
yeah i thought discus but they bit expensive and die to easily for me, i always liked angels that why chose them, and fromt he people ive talked to if they are introduced young into the tank they are generally ok
tHEcONCH
4 Angels will be fine in a tank that size, so long as you don't go adding other relatively 'passive' large cichlids afterwards (e.g. Discus). Rams etc. will be fine, as will larger tetras, but adult Angels will eat small neons etc.
Slightly Blue Dalmation
yeah was gunna have a couple of rams in there as well, and a large school of something that wont be eaten and hatchets and cories etc
