hi mind my ignorance but i just got a leather frag attached to a rock with thread. im assuming this is until it attackes itself to the rock?

yes, it will grow onto the rock

leave the cotton on the rock until it rots away. BTW that leather is one of my favourites as it has awsome polpys on it. how are the other two pieces going?
