quadcells
Hi, New here, just posted in the Welcome section. The last tank I built was 1574mm L x 584mm H x 610mm W and used a piece of tempered glass which measures 9.525mm thick x 1524 L x 559mm H. From the Excel speed sheet calculations that I down loaded from this site, that my glass could have been thinner. Which brings me to my next project. I have a piece of glass that is 12.7mm thick x 2082mm L x 863.6mm H and is tempered (Heat treated). The new tank which I would like to build is to be 2235.2mm L x 914.4mm H x 609.6mm wide. Again using the Excel spread sheet calculations that would give me a safety factor of 12. So does this mean I can sleep fine at night knowing that my glass will not fail? I would like to get your comments on this project. Thanks in advance. -quadcells
