He usually 'rests' on the bottom of the tank for minutes at a time and has done this since i got him (over a year) but thought i would mention it anyway. He also looks 'swollen' Can i help him in anyway? Does anyone know whats going on? Soz for the crap pictures

Janelle
Sorry I can't help... My theory is that since he is a fancy goldfish his insides may have grown wrong and something has ruptured internally. I'm not really sure of this though, and I hope it isn't the case. Good luck. Caryl
Could be internal parasites
sub.z
Could be internal parasites What should i do? Is it contagious?
Caryl
Possibly infectious. How much so depends on how heavily stocked the tank is. Get something from your lfs that says it is for internal parasites.
Whiskas
dare i say this - we had a fish at work that had something similar. We tried salt baths (to minimise the swelling) and furon2. They would fix him for a bit (maybe a week or 2) and then he/she would get it back. Eventually he/she died Hope yours just has bruising from sitting on the bottom of the tank or something. Good luck
