David R
Just thought I'd share a few pics of my 3 new ornates, and my big one. Bic pen for scale. Couldn't get all three sitting still in the same place for a good pic!! And with the eel trying to hide in the pipe And a short, but not particularly exciting,

beblondie
From the picture its looking like a male.Sexing dimorphism is fairly evident the males anal fin is approx twice as wide as the females and more muscular.during mating the male cups the anal fin catching the eggs as the female releases them He then fertilzies them-Anne I pass thru here everyday lol

Duncan7
How old is that pic Duncan!? Seems to have bulked up heaps since I last saw it/him/her. Just a couple of days ago, he was sitting at one end of the tank and was only 2 inches off touching both sides! Has grown a bit! Time for a bigger tank

AROWANA
David R, what size tank is it.
David R
The small ones are growing out in a 3'x18"x18" tank, and the big one (both mine and Duncan7's) are in 4'x20x20" tanks. 6'x2'x2' is on the cards for next year, although not as urgent since the death of my 18"+ fire eel.
