They are in a community tank and doing a great job keeping the eggs safe without too much damage to the other occupants so far but what do I do from here? cichlid7 Posted July 21, 2007 Report Share Posted July 21, 2007 what other fish do you have in the tank The kribs wont eat the fry the kribs are cichlids and like all cichlids the can do damage to you other fish when they come near the eggs. I would split the tank so they had their own part (mum dad and eggs-fry) if you intend to breed them in future i would setup a breeding tank for them Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
fattythecatty Posted July 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 21, 2007 I have a pair of Pearl gourami, some tetras, 3 little catfish and a bristlenose. The kribs have spawned in a terracotta pot in 1 corner of the tank, everyone else is keeping well away. My intention was not to breed but mother nature takes her course and they are great to watch.
