fishandchips
Hey i am not sure where this is meant to go but if it is in the wrong please mod's just move it. So as the title suggests how much would it cost roughly to get a 4 foot tank made? I guess it would measure 48"x18"x18" or 1200x450x450mm. I know i can just call a place and find out but last time i called ( going back a year now) i got about four different prices. Any help with a cost would be great just so i know i am not going to get ripped off. Cheers everyone
Wok
I got mine from Jansens in Auckland a number of years ago and it cost me around $120 for the size you mention It is also worthwhile to look on trademe too. cost also is determined by the thickness of the glass used as well. the thicker the glass the higher the costs. As for tanks in Dunedin.. I can't help you.
Bluetom
I paid a little over $200 for a 1200x700x600 but that was made by a tank maker up here for lots less than other quotes. I would have said $200ish but would depend considering your down south and all.
Caryl
Prices can vary depending on whether or not the glazier has some glass the right size. It will be cheaper if they have some off cuts they can use but dearer if they have to cut up a new sheet.

Adrienne
I got one last year, same measurements as that, brand new $65-$75 I can't remember which it was, from a maker here in Auckland. I'm pretty sure he still makes them.
