Gannet Posted July 1, 2007 Report Share Posted July 1, 2007 hey guys, well i went fising the other day and pulled in a snapping turtles about 5kgand just over a foot long, i have pics to prove it and will put them on once im back in nz. i also caught a sunfish (CA cichlid) and a bass pics to come in oct have also seen a coule of box turtles, and a few snakes swiming in the swiming hole that we use yay, i am going on a nature hike tomorrow looking for turtles Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I used to find sunfish in ponds in Hampstead Heath in london - quite pretty fish and hardy too - I'm guessing we couldn't have them here though cause if they can live wild in london I'm guessing they can in NZ too! coelacanth Posted July 3, 2007 Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 can't wait to see the photos, what do box turtles look like? box turtles look sort of like tortoises, a bit boxy-shaped with walky feet instead of swimmy ones, although they can swim quite well.
