Jammos
As the topic says. I have a breeding pair that I bought and all 5 lots of eggs laid have gone white. Also will snails eat the eggs? The snails are only the say size as the eggs but they appeared out of now where in the tank.
Ira
It's possible, I suppose, but more likely it's a problem with the conditions in your tank. What species are they? A lot of fish's eggs are very sensitive to hardness and PH like, I think, angels?
Jammos
hey thanks for that. They are angels. whats the ideal tank set up (ph etc)?

Not doubting your supplier but mistakes can be made. I could pop around and have a look for you, if you like since I'm also in PN. Andrew. Jammos
Hey thanks for that. But I know they are as the size of each and they were the only two in the tank when I bought them privately. Thanks anyway.
Caryl
Size has nothing to do with sexing angels and you can have 2 females with one, or both, laying eggs. Had they been producing fry before?
Jammos
yes they have. they did their job for about 3 years but now he doesn't do his thing
cat
I have heard that the older the fish get the less eggs they lay until 'old' age stops breeding. I wouldn't know for sure as none of mine are that old, but I would imagine at three years old they have probably spawned themselves out. I have a pair of Koi Marbles for sale if you want. These are a breeding pair (currently have a large hatch of eggs). We are getting out of breeding Angels so if you are interested let me know. They are just over 1 years of age. Jammos
thanks for that but I too have 2 other pairs of angels breeding but I was just querying this topic as the younger ones are producing more than the experienced ones. Thanks
Caryl
Perhaps the novelty has worn off for the older pair Introduce a sexy young male and see if that makes the old fella a little more interested

Ira
My severums are, I don't see why angels can't be.
Caryl
Introducing a young male might make the older one try and prove he's still got it with the female, I did not suggest him as a mate!
