Aaron-Betta
I have a problem, I have 6 females so full of eggs that they are just releasing them uncontrolably (they have been able to see a few males from where they are kept.) My problem is that I only have 4 spare breeding tanks. I do have an idea for a solution but I was wondering if anyone has tried it before? Possible Solution: Females need time between spawns to heal, be fed up on rich food and to produce a belly of eggs, yet males dont really. I was hoping to let one pair spawn, remove the female and replace her with another. In your opinion will this work? I guess if it doesn't work then I will have to let the girls left over release their eggs and go to waste. Any Ideas? anyone in AK want to borrow some girls for their boys to breed with? Thanks heaps, Aaron

Aaron-Betta
getting more tanks was considered, but we are in between houses at the moment and I this the 7 tanks in the lounge and 3 tall 2 footers and a 3 footer in the garage is plenty at the moment. I might be pushing my luck to get more at the moment.
evilknieval69
You only need a small tank to spawn them in, Why not put some dividers into an existing tank. Say a two footer. Could easily be divided up into a couple 1 foot tanks' thats enough for a pair to spawn... Then use your bigger tanks for growout tanks
Adrienne
It must be the weather at the moment, I have females in all the tanks releasing eggs. Think of it as an easily obtainable food source for the rest of your fighters.
