evilknieval69
As i said in the other thread. King killies are stunning fish, and get to 10ish cms. Not available ALOT but they are out there. there were some on trademe last week; a guy in tauranga, he ships though. EDIT: here ya go http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 361341.htm
fishy_t
Awesome thanks I've asked a few Q's on the aution so we'll see how that goes... Do you know how long they live for? Cause they are alot of money for two fish and I tought Killies had quite short life spans?! Thanks
caserole
Hi fishy_t, The blue gularis will live for between 2 and 2.5 years. But I would not put them with a bichir as king killies only get fat enough to be a good meal IMHO.
fishy_t
Even the 'King Killie'? Cause people are saying it gets to 10cm... But I don't want to risk it...
evilknieval69
Oh, i thought they got to 10 ish cm, but i could possibly be wrong. wait and see what the experts say....
caserole
It's not there length but there width, they only get 1.5-2cm round and are soft bodied making them easy to CHOMP like a fat worm.

fishy_t
Well I'm not sure if he would be able to fit one in... He can only just eat his neons, and I'm not sure if could ever eat anything bigger than a zebra danio even when he's fully grown, but I guess its better safe than sorry, shame though! Alan
Trouble is that they do grow. The bichir that is. I agree with Cas, expensive meal, but if you had of bought these when they were in Auck. last year, you would have paid $75.00 a pair for them.
