davidb
yeah killies can go in a community tank. best way to get your hands on them is to talk to a breeder- alan4304, wok etc... they are sometimes on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... ber=945835 http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... ber=496067
Caryl
They can go in a community tank but most serious killie lovers keep them in species only tanks. They do appear in shops sometimes. Alan and caserole know all about them and a number of other people here keep them as well. Join the NZKA and get them through other members. Alan
thanks everyone i think ill do more research before i spend money by joining a club or getting any fish..... I presume you are in the Chch club. To join the NZKA will cost you only $15.00, and to think that you would be paying $50.00 or more a pair in the shops, IF they have any, makes joining the NZKA a very viable option. Not to mention fish that different members have that are NOT in the shops. To keep them in a community tank also depends on what the other inhabitants will be. Also, as I have warned so many times on this forum, your lid on the aquarium, MUST be killie-jump-proof.

Wok
The best selection of Killies can be got by joining up with the New Zealand Killifish Association (NZKA) Good prices too and lots of help from members.

Alan
He is saying Tim, that as soon as his sparky, who lives in Tauranga, has come up and finished his wiring and plugs, that he is going to come down and buy up some stock for his fishroom. Sounds lkie barrie is concerned that you may give away too many before he gets there. Obviously, he hasn't seen your room.

Alan
They don't call him Toro for nothing. But if you sign the visitor's door he is a sweet little pussy cat; nothing.
