Are these available in NZ and has anyone had any experience using them

in particular the 1073.160 model.

I believe that is incorrect. 1073.160 is freshwater only, but ONLY if you are using it submerged. It will work for saltwater if you use it externally (not submerged)

I believe you correct on this one chimera .

the reason the 1073.140 and 7073.160 cant be submerged is Because the 1073.14 and 1073.16 operate on higher than mains frequency by using electronics. As a result they need a driver which while encased in resin has an exposed aluminum heat sink. Salt water will react with aluminum and the produced salts are toxic.

6200's here now, hoping to get them picked up from Hollywoods this week, the recirc pump still waiting on update, Reef reckons should be close to being shipped. Tank progress going well, start fishroom downstairs this week.

Big pump not yet arrived, reef says tunze has technical problems?? - not sure what that means.

Any word from Tunze yet Reef???. Would still really like one of those pumps.
