Caryl
It says what it is in the link name you gave - an altispinosa. Microgeophagus altispinosa also known as a Butterfly Ram or Bolivian Ram It is a south American dwarf cichlid and grows to about 8cm. I have not got any but they are around. northland chic
My lfs in Kaitaia has them but are really expensive at $19. Heard they are alright for community tanks but don't want to risk it.
Harry
yea its definatley a bolivian ram and they are absolutley fine in comminity tanks but they may get slightly terrortorial when breeding. you can pick them up in shops for around $15 but from a breeder its usually alot less. hevalump
bit of a late answer but hey someone might still be interested. Yeah i have one of these guys, they are neat little fish, intelligent and our one has staked out a territory in his tank which he patrols most the day but has never shown any agression to our smaller or larger fish. He shows a fair bit of curiousity to the other fish though. Cute little dude.
