fattythecatty
Found them, thanks all. Was thinking of getting some to go with my WCMMs but all reports seem to class them as noxious pests........that makes me a little nervous!! Ira
Leopard fish are a noxious pest? Sure you're not confusing them with Mosquitofish?
Caryl
I wonder too! Nothing noxious about leopardfish. They are a gorgeous peaceful coldwater fish and would be fine with wcmms.
Billaney
i agree , the leopard fish are great but sometimes called the dusky million fish so can be confused with Gambusia ( mosquitofish ) called sometimes the million fish ( same as guppies ) boy its easy to get confused but are a totally differant fish species , and a fantastic fish at that
penguinleo
A while back now, I bought some leopard fish from trademe. Eventually I didn't really enjoy them so I sold them on Trademe again. I managed to sell them but a few days later a member of DOC came over to my house and asked me if I had any leopard fish! Well, I didn't so I answered no and then he started to say things like to never release them in the wild and that he wanted to check the fish out. Was pretty scary to be honest!
fattythecatty
 OK, now I am really confused. When I search under the scientific name I keep getting mosquito fish hence my thought that they were noxious so now I'm not even sure what they look like!!!! Can anyone point me in the right direction here? Sorry for my tendancy towards stupidity

fattythecatty
I have 10 WCMM in a 60cm planted tank, sounds like they'd go well together. I'll have a look around for some. Are they a schooling fish, i'm guessing they are.
