Afrikan
Hi Supasi I found the website that I had found the information on the Melgar, however apparently it is under reconstruction, hopefully when it is up and running again it might have more information. I am pretty sure what I have is Nanay Melgar, according to forum overseas. Whatever I have, they have bred and I have a heap of young. I want to get confirmation of what I have tho before I do anything with the young, frustrating  Mekhaela

I do hope that i jas success with breeding as they have become very lively now since they settlrd in to their tank   will have to keep an eye on that web site
Afrikan
Hiya Mine were also from NZ Discus, and looking at my Apistos and your pics, I would say they are definately the same. I have about 40 fry that are at the bigger stage now, and they are real tough argumentative little critters  Good Luck with the breeding! And yeah I am keeping a close eye on the website, looked good last time I saw it. Mekhaela
CraigMcN
I've got the same guys from NZ Discus. The "argumentative" description fit's them pretty well Best ID I have on the so far is A. Cruzi. There was another thread here recently that linked to a great apisto specialist forum that seemed fairly certain. Craig.
