Algae Eaters or no algae eaters?

they are not a requirement, but it never hurts to have something that will eat the leftovers.

i think the most popular would be Bristlenoses as they look cool and don't get too big, unlike plecos.

as for snails, be wary of what type you get. most snails will quickly multiply and you will soon be back on here wondering how to get rid of them :D

and quite a few are known to demolish plants.

I have a 200L tank. In there I have a BN catfish which does alot of cleaning of the glass, especially the back which is excellent as I struggle to get my arm down there to manually scrub it. I have also had good success with two clown & two skunk loaches, they eat all the left ova food off the bottom which stops it turning to nitrates as it decaes.
