  1. These? http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/identi ... t8430.html
  2. Have you tested your water yet? I'd strongly recommend you buy a master test kit, or at the least take a sample of your water to the LFS and get them to test it for you. Testing your water can help to eliminate a lot of problems, or on the other hand will tell you exactly whats wrong. Its worth it! Post your results when you're done.
  3. Neomacheilus Triangularis Yep, I have one. I think they prefer to be alone, rather than with others of their kind, but mine shares a tank with my botia kubotai and they love each other. They share the same rock cave Very shy little loach, but funny to watch when feeding. They whizz across the sand on their fin tips then glide up into the water to catch food, looks cool. Other than that the tank just has danios, platties and a pleco in. Never seen him even blink twice at anotherf fish, he's cool. LS
  4. The tank looks positively coated in the stuff, how close to their nose does it need to be?
  5. Yeah just figured that out Bill, cheers. For some reason my browser didnt show that there were new posts in my original thread, so I didnt realise things were still happening in it. Oh well
  6. Hmm ok it seems part of another thread was inserted into this one LOL. Wicked, let me know if you get some bubs. Cheers
  7. What the hecks the deal with this post. Is it all screwed up or is it just me being dizzy?
  8. I've just set my new dwarf cichlid tank up with black sand and large blue/grey rocks. The fishies seem to like it plenty.. LS
  9. I hear what you're saying Caryl, but thats probably not the sort of thing you wanna advertise too much in this type of thread. Not everyone knows what you know; I can just see all the fish newbies packing away their buckets and not changing their water again LS
  10. And here was me thinking they were tropical fish. What temperature were you keeping them in? You had 2 of them, were they fully grown? Were they male / female or both the same? Might be nothing to do with them dying (sounds fungal?) but just wondering.. LS
  11. Hehe, yeah Paul. Well, it did anyway,..... this is that one
  12. Okie, can you put me down for one of the opposite sex whenever yours decide to get it on? That would be great. Cheers
  13. Wicked, how do you sex them? ANy ideas what this one is? LS

Yes but what did you do with the juice? Oooh, ahh,.. my mistake. Hah! LS
  15. Hi, yes as B&K already mentioned, it's a red spot plecostomus. He's a cool dude, always out at the front of the tank.
  16. Cheers Ballistic, but the meeting details haven't been updated there
  17. Could someone just confirm the date/time/location for the next club meeting. Hopefully myself and the Mrs will be able to make it. Cheers Lee
  18. Hey, I decided that as I was bored I'd have a play around with the camera and take a few photos, so here's a few of them. They certainly don't compete with Billaney's (i reckon he has a photographer he bribes ) but they arent too bad I think. Finally found a new female, nothing great but still.. Cheers Lee
  19. Hi folks, I need to get some sort of b/n or something for my new cichlid tank, to keep the algae down. Other than the standard b/n are there any other algae eaters that would be suitable with dwarf cichlids? I'd quite like a golden black eye b/n but i think they need cooler water right? regards LS
  20. Is Winston a member of the forums do you know? I wouldn't mind some of these rams, they look pretty neat. Anyone else have some they don't want?
  21. White Cloud Mountain Minnows. Glad you're getting it sorted. I Hope they've compensated you. Regards LS
  22. Thankyou. The pic is of me (left) and Terry Pratchett, one of my favoutite authors. LS
  23. From this I assume you bought the fish and the tank together from the pet store, is that right? If not, did they at least ask if you'd cycled your tank properly? Did they advise you that giant danios were cold water fish? If the above is true I'd be heading back to that shop with the dead fish and asking for my money back, thats just not on. And get a free heater whilst you are there too! And yes, whilst most danios can live in cooler water, the giant's are a bit more fussy about the heat they receive. LS
