Just thought somebody here might know about this. I keep getting pop ups, about games usually when it happens down in the right hand corner of my screen in a little blue box, so to speak, in black letters it read "Ad served by BrowsingProgram". Anybody know what this is and how can I get rid of it? I have my pop up blocker on so it's something different. Caper

Oops sorry about that but the thermometer in that tanks does register in farenheit...and I am still in the dark ages 8) :lol: hate metric! See I know in the winter it will stay at 22 when I have the heat turned on in my apartment and the summer will be no problem. But it's the in between periods, you know not too cold to turn heat on, that I'm concerned with. Not for the goldfish because I'm sure it shouldn't take a large drop in temp I would think. I would like to put ottos back in for the algae so that's what concerns me. Not so much this time of the year, but more when the winter starts again. Now I could be wrong, and correct me if I am, I thought a read quite sometime ago when I first looked at getting ottos that could tolerate as low as 68 (sorry, not metric :-? )? Thanks all Caper

In the past I always kept a heater in my goldfish tank. It was set for 72; I kept it set for that temp because of the ottos in there. The heater broke and since there are no ottos in there now I didn't replace the heater. It is spring here and today is the first day I turned the heat off in my apartment. The temp in the tank is still registering 72. These goldfish have never experienced (well, at least in my tank) a temp below that. Depending on our weather I may or may not turn the heat on in the apartment. I'm wondering if I should just leave it as is with no heater??? But, then if I wanted to put ottos in again would I need a heater??? Opinions please? Caper

My small 10 gallon (3 cory's in it). I haven't cleaned the sides or the back of the tank in quite sometime. I don't want to in case they get more ottos in. Is it ok to leave algae build up like this????? Caper
