  1. Had an "accident" in my sons tank, and its too small to keep them all... so... Free to a good home, 9 in total currently.... I honestly couldn't say for sure as far as sexes go, but there seems to be a decent mix, atleast from what i can tell from fin shapes... Hatched sometime between Christmas eve and Boxing day, Hard to tell size but look to be between 3/4 - 1in long. All seem Healthy and active, and have been fed on a wide range of foods, from frozen mixes, through to bug bites and flake foods.... Everything gets hoovered up lol Have separated out into my Quarantine tank for now as the parents were beginning to show aggression towards them... and someone in the group has eaten the next group of fry that magically popped up... Pick-up from their tank in Rangiriri is preferred, However may be able to negotiate me delivering personally ( NO Couriering sorry ) as far north as Takanini ( AKL ) and south to Hamilton.... Apologies for picture quality... they are quick little buggers, and phone cameras arent great.... ill try get some better ones at some point...
  2. Do you know what brand the PSU is or what it was originally out of? I know a lot of the enterprise grade stuff out of older servers always gets quite hot... and some ( from the likes of HP and IBM) were deemed as "fine" that way, as they were sitting in the back of what was basically a wind tunnel... I'd recommend ( if it worries you enough to bother) removing the casing, butchering some more holes into it on opposing sides and throwing a second fan on it... especially with that much headroom capacity wise...
  3. Originally purchased this poor fellow to deal with a snail issue a little over a year ago... Unfortunately I was quite new to the tropical world, a didn't appropriately research them first... As a result, he has unfortunately been the only if his kind in my tank... Which didn't seem to effect him in any way (at least behaviourally) until around 3 weeks ago when the tank was moved... He has since seemed to become very unhappy, and has spent the last week hiding under one particular rock... I could not tell you if he carries anything in the way of disease, though he is rather "skinny" and hasn't been sighted actually eating in the last few days, aside from that he seems physically well, with no wounds or outward signs of illness so my guess is depression, however standard quarantine procedures are recommended as always... Esp since I'm not an expert on fish disease... He is however free to anyone who has experience with his kind, and preferance will be given to somebody who has a school of his like to add him too... "He" is pick up only ( from pakuranga area in Auckland) and you will need to provide your own container for transport and an extra net may help in his capture... Pm me if your interested, and I'll get you my brothers ph number, as the tank is residing in his living room while my house get built...
