  1. Also, picture of the week - the dentist from digideep.com.
  2. A float valve would do it, (Found at http://www.epa.gov/swerust1/ustsystm/balfloat.htm)
  3. Some aquatic plants don't need to be deliberately introduced. With some plants, in some towns, simply emptying a tank down your sink could find plants introduced into streams. Also flooding of ponds can do it. Though I suspect most were deliberately introduced, making life difficult for us all.
  4. As far as I know, the only turtles in NZ are Reeves, Red Eared and Snake-neck. Tortoises are Hermann's and Mediterranean Spur-thighed (Greek variety). Red Eared Sliders and Snake-neck turtles are sold on Trade Me a bit. No licenses are needed for any of these. Look at the New Zealand Herpetological Society for a list of reptiles and info on regulations etc. I have noticed the list is missing some reptiles that are available in New Zealand, and I hope my list is incomplete too!
  5. Tropical Blues has them on their fish list for $3.90, and Dwarf Loach for $19.80.
