  1. Hello all and many thanks for the messages about our loss of Pepper. We both miss him a lot.
  2. Hi Thought I better introduce myself. You won't see me in here regularly but I will always be available via PM, phone or email. I am Caryl's other half (but don't hold that against me) Hopefully as time goes on I will get to meet some of you in person at club meetings.
  3. The FNZAS Executive held their meeting on Saturday and the results of the voting were: President - Grant Simpson Vice President - Craig Hewson Two new members were appointed to the Executive Committee, Owen Lingard and Sue Fleet. It was voted that the governance of the FNZAS Fishroom forums be run by a sub committee independent of the Executive. The Fishroom sub committee is responsible for the formulation of the rules and guidlines for the Fishroom Forums and how they should be applied. These must conform to the objects of the federation. This sub committee comprises of Diane Wilkie (Zev) and Caryl Simpson (Caryl). Complaints will be handled as follows: If a member is not happy with actions taken by an Administrator or Moderator, they should first lodge a complaint with the forum sub committee, who will make a ruling. If the member is not satisfied with this ruling, they can then lodge a complaint with the FNZAS Executive, via the FNZAS Secretary. The Executive will discuss the case and make a ruling. This ruling will be final. Grant Simpson FNZAS President

    parrot cichlids.

I disagree with you, Pegasus. Please allow this and similar discussions to continue. No fish keeper in their right minds would want to damage fish in any way, especially such as the parrot fish and balloon fish mentioned by Squid. I knew about the parrot fish, but had not come across the balloon fish. I was interested to see Squid's reply. How are we going to know about these fish and their unfortunate backgrounds if these discussions are stopped? It's a good warning for all of us to be on the lookout for these and to not support their importation in any way. If we purchase them through ignorance, we support the suppliers of them and encourage more of this distateful bizarre business. Please encourage these discussions for the benefit of all (and the fish).
