Also, this morning his swelling has decreased by about 50%, which looks very promising! I'll hold feeding for the next couple of days and see what happens.

    HELP!!

He is in a custom 1000l, water is picture perfect. Has an FX5, gonna upgrade to a second when the fish start getting big. He has a few tank mates, but they are all peacefully living together and do not bother him. They're all smaller than him to. They include ~ Albino Sailfin Pleco Blue Dempsey 3 Pictus Fire Eel Ornate Poly Clown Knife and Elephant fish

    HELP!!

Hi guys I'm really worried, as my Black Arowana (about 35cm long) has suddenly come down with something. For the last 2 days he has been excreting long, thin sellotape-looking things and as of a few hours ago, he has bloated at the belly and has large bruising(?) in his tail. He's still eating fine and the other fish are all happy as larks. They would not have caused this in any way. So far I am thinking tape worms or something along those lines, but I haven't the foggiest what to do. Please help if you can, he is very special to me ~

    Alder?

Good wood for bass guitars too. 8)
  5. From a nutrition aspect, I'd say try and get him to eat proper carnivor sinking pellets. But otherwise I'd just reccomend feeding him raw shrimp, maybe soaked in Nourish or something. BUT make sure you chop the pieces small and feed them slowly!!!! I had a beutiful 30cm who choked to death in front of me because of scoffing to much down at once...
  6. Hi guys I've been battling with copious amounts of hair algae lately. Nothing I do seems to work - algea X, algeafix, SAT, turning off the light ect. Another odd thing seems to be that the algae doesn't rely on phosphates. My water quality has always been perfect. One thing that has worked is the introduction of a jewel rock goby, but there is far to much for him to consume. So I was thinking... of introducing sea hares. About 5 in my 130L tank. Also, I don’t have a huge aptasia problem, but I was also considering adding in some Berghia nudibranchs which apparently demolish the little pest. Does anyone know where firstly if this is a good idea?! I know many nudibranch consume corals and stuff and I haven't found any internet data suggesting these guys eat any corals. I have leathers, mushrooms, bubbles, polyps and lettuce. And secondly does anyone know where I'd be able to find these guys? If anyone has had any experience with these 2 species it would be great for some advice! Thanks Danny
