  1. Would love to buy a tree but takes so long for them to grow haha. Will have too see, I know BidvestFresh has them may call in some favours haha.
  2. does anyone know when they come on sale and if they are available in the supermarkets?
  3. Tried something similar, but did not look as good as insectdirect's. I got a tank custom built with a pond in the front with some fish and then lots of moss and mini native trees, etc. Any frog really? Maybe not whistlers unless you give them alot of trees to climb etc. golden bell would look best imo. But its up to you, problem would be trying to source them as there aren't many around atm.
  4. How about something like insectdirects frog setup? http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww30 ... ogtank.jpg
  5. Yeah thats what worried me too. Hmm..they kinda puff up a bit i notice their beards get bigger? :dunno:
  6. Yeah they get salad, I bath mine in an empty kitty litter tray. Did so this afternoon which prompted me to post this thread about it. I don't recall them doing this about a year ago, the only thing that's changed is that they have a bigger enclosure. At one stage I did have a large water dish for them to drink from/bath in maybe thats what has caused them to drink like they do? :dunno:
  7. why is this happening to me, I'm looking after them properly, balanced diet, correct lighting/heating. Really worried now, after what happened a 2 weeks ago. Kidney damage to too much water intake or clear mucus? From what I have read as long as the mucus wasn't coloured it would be alright. You know how the dragons have like a sticky 'tounge/saliva' could it just be excess of that mixed with water?
  8. Does anyone else beardies stick there head in water and just drink and drink and drink for ages? When one of mine does it in the water bowl and brings head up clear mucus comes out? Can too much water do any damage?
  9. My BD's aren't bothered by the cat, from what I get from the pic is that the dragon is staunching the cat out. :sml2:
  10. Any idea how much that would cost? and any specific vet or can any vet clinic do it?
  11. He sadly passed away Saturday night. After bathing him he perked up a bit. Really puzzled on what was wrong as he was fine on Friday.
  12. Sorry, meant vent. Separated him, with a water bowl earlier this morning. Will bath him shortly. Cheers.
  13. Hey guys, woke up today and checked on my reptiles and one of my beardies has got the following symptoms: Brought him about a year ago, he was 5yo. Lethargic - wont move Refusing to eat/drink Really dark in colour - beard is completly black Vest partly open Smelly Eyes are smaller than usual Looks really skinny compared to a week ago I'm quite worried about him, his cage mates are perfectly fine. He is usually the most active one of the lot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  14. The ones we saw were the ones who got caught, it makes me sick to think how many get out of NZ with them.
  15. +1 They should be locked up and the key thrown away.
  16. I'm glad you like it, the cat does not look happy at all.
  17. Would be cool if people could show some wicked photo's of there reps.
