  1. ive been there and I must say the place is awesome particularly if u love Siamese fighters. Thailand is great for aquarium bits and bobs if u find the right area in chatuchak market youll be wishing u could bring it all home just remember to go in the weekend u can go during the week but only about a third of the stalls are open. enjoy your trip
  2. thanks for that. I ended up stopping with the neons and now have the fry of glowlight danios in my tank unsure how many yet but seem to be a good number :thup:
  3. hi guys I am trying to breed neons at the moment. have a good school of 12 healthy well fed neons in my tank, they spawned this morning. im just wondering should I leave the adults in the tank for a couple of days to see if they will spawn more as I noticed a rather fat female that still hasn't dropped her eggs or should I take them out? cheers :dunno:
  4. i dont know about a few more platties make sure you get a female and your tanks got some hideing spaces and in a month or two you should have plenty :sml2:
  5. thanks for that guys at lest this should make the hobby slightly cheaper :slfg: goin to start with fish only then move to reef just picked up a 400l tank for 120 bucks im stocked as i only intended doin a 200l
  6. it looks like going through these threds that i can collect salt water from the coast is this true for a warm salt water tank if i just heat it it will be fine? or do i treat it somehow?

  8. was wanting to set up a marine tank 4 foot wasnt wanting to do a sump so was going to give everyone a run down and see what they thought 4 foot tank 2 power heads, protien skimmer, nitrate prossesor and possably a canister filter with uv. this is rough was hopeing to get lots of advice the only thing i have out of these is the 4 foot tank which is currently a malawi set up.cheers

  10. ok trying to find out what sort of plants i can put with frogs im guessing the list is pretty much endless but are there any no nos would like to put a dendrobium orchid in there would this be ok

  15. 6 running 1 empty wishin i could talk the wife into more but divorce keeps geting mentioned every time i bring it up :roll:
  16. i put 1 male and 2 female into a small separate tank with java moss left them in there for 3 weeks then put the adults back in the main tank and waited.
  17. yeah id just about given up hope and was goin to clear out the tank and try again hopefully there are more

  19. yeah they are awsome fish and so many different species colors and breeding habbits i have 3 different types at the moment and hopeing for more soon quite addictive.
  20. no worries if your clowns are a reasonable size when you get them you should be ok need to pick up some of that riccia myself
  21. if you want them the best bet would be to join the killie club then talk to barry on this website about them
  22. they should be fine with bristle nose and tetras but the tetras and bn will eat the clown eggs of course if your tank is hevily planted you could get a few fry
