Hi i have moved to Christchurch sold all my bettas and fish tanks as couldnt afford to bring them down so am starting fresh again . Bought a new fish tank last week so am now on look out for some hms and cts . Look forward to catching up with all my freinds on here in coming days Brett

Need help please with taking photos been trying to take photos of my bettas but the pics keep coming out blurry. Would anyone know the correct setting for exposure and white balance ? Have a very small tank for photos which i have painted black for the lighting and have a lamp over tank also have male in tank to get the males to flare works well just pics are coming out terrible . Maybe its my camera its new has 10 megapix and 8 digital zoom but its one of those point and shoot ones regret buying it now should have got a nikon

Hi Adrienne Oh no didnt i post the pictures correctly again ?? The Dad is Jonos Fighter some awesome colours They are 4 months old now ready for sale love to keep the purple ones but need the room. A note for David your Pearl fighter his eggs just hatched yippe after five try lol should make some lovely hms as mum was black .Was ashame he couldnt mate with the girl you gave me but she was just to big for him.

I was going to email you tonight regarding when you will have some new fighters for sale ?. Learnt a lot from my first lot of frys have made heaps of mistakes but have learnt a lot .

yes think that was the trouble as the female was a bit bigger than him also tried a smaller female but that was a failed spawn also have plenty of other fighters to breed from so will wait until he gets bigger

The eggs were not fertile its the second time ive tried him he still only 4 months old so hopefully next time i try him he will have learnt from his past mistakes .Will give him a month off have a nice pair of hms arriving soon so will get them conditioned plus have my hm frys which are nearly ready for sale soon

My black hm has been squeezing his lover for the past two hours eggs coming out although i was noticing he was finding it hard to squeeze her sometimes it his first time . But the thing that has me a bit worried is she just dashed across to the heater and dropped at least 60 eggs and he wasnt even squeezing her never ever seen that before. He picked up the eggs and put them in the nest and she has followed him back and they are still mating . I dont think this is normal for a female to drop eggs without the male squeezing her

So right mate i have listened to you i feed my fry,bbs,bloodworms,mozzies ,novotom just sad losing fry when i feed the bloodworms have to really try and cut them up tiny so they dont choke ps Friday is nearly here lol

thanks everyone have tried the cheese grater before doesnt always work still leaves the odd one bigger than the rest will try the scissors idea

Does anyone have any ideas how to chop up Blood worms or mush them just lost one of my black fry he chocked on a mixture of bloodworms and Daphinia . We have been cutting their food up very small and mashing them with a fork but still the fry finding some of them difficult to swallow. Ashame i lost the black one he was seven weeks old and developing nicely
