  2. Feeding a very small amount of flake or individual bloodworms every 2 days. The food doesn't get much of a chance to settle. I will check out some threads on it tho cheers
  3. I did think that, i left it for the first week, and tested water daily, no changes in water parametres , nitrates still come back up after water change. 3 weeks now
  4. Ok team, My little tank keeps getting a little cloudy :dunno: 22L set up for 2 months Ph 6.2 Ammonia 0 Nitrites 0 Nitrates 10-20ppm KH 1ish Lights and CO2 for 6 hrs Fish - 4 ottos and 4 blue eyed forktails and all happy I was getting a bit of BBA so i increased the CO2 slightly and pulled most of the affected plants and it has pretty much gone What have i tried : I have tried a couple of 40% water changes over 2 days and it clears, but will keep coming back. I tried a black out on the weekend, 40% water change blackout for 3 days. Fish where happy to see me and water clear on Sunday. pic is tonight. It is looking white cloudy. Where to now? From reading a few things in the forum, could it be fluctuating CO2 levels? I reackon these sit at around 30PPM during lighting and drop to around 5 - 10ppm after. Ideas/thoughts would be appreciated Cheers
  5. Ha thank you, funny enough your instructions are way better than the ones i didn't get
  6. Thanks I am now addicted to bubbles... could stare at them for hours. Every thing seems to be going ok, brown algae totally took over the Lilaeopsis and a little on the glass and a little green algae. Have added 4 otocinclus yay.... bubbles and fish These little guys went nuts on it and cleared it up overnight Glosso taking off nicely and lots of pearling and the sword has grown quit a bit I am using KH & PH to measure CO2 ppm, i have a KH degree test that when i add the first drop the water stays clear, second drop slight yellow, third drop yellow. Would you say the KH is 1 or 2?
  7. Hello, I was given a fluvel edge tank a few years ago which is a small (22l) almost a fully enclosed tank with 2 halogen lights. It was a little hard to keep and was retired. I have done a few modifications from this site http://aquaristik.bplaced.com/ Basically have replaced the halogens with LEDs and added another 5 LEDs rated about 6000K. I have added CO2 through a diffuser directly into the filter. First time at a high tech tank and most info from this forum Used Seachem flourite black sand Planted Glossostigma elantinoides, Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae, Eleocharis acicularis & Echinodorus horemani 6 hours of light and CO2 Day 1 Day 2 Still a bit cloudy Plan to add 4 otocinclus in a few weeks....................... grow grow grow :spop:

    Hello

Hi All Iv'e just started a tank a couple of months ago and was told about this site recently. It's been a great help so far Its a 200l planted community tank. Plec, 3 Chinese algae eaters, 3 poka dot Loaches, 7 tetra, 12 neons, 5 rosbora, 2 gouramis, rainbow shark & 2 corys... and a small addition (baby) discovered this morning. A question i have is do i need to feed the baby cory any thing different? He seems pretty happy digging around the sand at the mo. Have just given the tank a hair cut so will post a pic when i figure out how
