  1. If you don't mind pouring all your money down the drain. For roughly the same price but at a little more hassle (sourcing all the parts and self assembly) you could do a DIY sodastream rig that costs around $10 to fill up instead of $35 8)
  2. Ira that made me laugh  Never too old for memes eh?

I guess it did seem like I confirmed it but I was actually just confirming I have a job Turns out Skylla just had a small wound on her foot that made her limp, she's been treated with antibiotics and pain relief. She no longer limps now. We also have a new addition to the family, a wee minilop called Luna is staying with us for a week while my friend (her owner) goes on holiday. Just gotta keep her and Radar apart now

Skylla got attacked last night, taking her to the vet soon cause she's still limping. Also it has come to my attention that some of you may think I work at Animates, however this is not the case sadly
  5. I'm going to try to squeeze in a wee bit more val later and hopefully get a reflector for the top so I can take better photos. The open light on top just wrecks them
  6. That's the plan, spread the virus. I saw a lovely planted tank around 900x500x500 a while back that was chocca full of bright orange platies, had that vision ever since. They're really under appreciated fish I think, in large numbers with some of the more colourful strains, they make a really nice effect at a really low cost.
  7. I love the guppies in this one ^ Platy love :slfg: Just a few quick snaps tonight, Mum dropped most of the fish in while I was working. Will be really nice once it all grows in 8)
  8. I beg to differ At the time the photo was taken at least 1/3, if not more of the floor space was planted (incl. the space need for crypts to grow). Now it's closer to 1/2, I don't like having it fully planted, negative space with hardscape is essential for the fish, remember this is an aquarium not just a planted glass box, to swim.
  9. Trade you x1,000,000+ platy and guppy fry
  10. Yeah just over the holidays though, yet to discuss whether there's an opening for me on the weekends yet or not. Eek the light on my other planted tank stopped working so ALL the plants from there are being moved to this tank. 5 or so crypts, some hairgrass, lots more val and some rotala rotundifolia. It's going to be a mission and a half fitting it all in! Josh, I'll take all fancy plecos you're willing to gift me ofc
  11. Yup this filter is super stealth! Unexpectedly working tomorrow, fish might go in tomorrow evening or Saturday then
  12. Here comes the flood. Filter and x3 boxes of ceramic rings. Bag of ceramic rings. The filter itself. Close up on the top. Baskets came with wool, nice surprise. All hooked up after about an hour of mucking around and trying to choose which bits to use and how to use them. Intake strainer. Spray bar. Usually I don't use these but I like surface movement, even though it is a planted tank. Some info about the ceramic rings I found amusing. The supplied cat trap worked perfectly too! The occupants should be in on Friday, looking forward to it!

That's not a good thing dude, there's so many Sams out there we've had to number them.
  14. I've got the filter, picked it up this avo. Photos to follow 8)
  15. Picking it up tomorrow night 8)
  16. Sorry for all the hype guys, that's just a group of air bubbles from filling up a dry tank No chance of anything surviving the rigorous cleaning we did on this tank  Ask Ghostknife! They're happily chillin' at hers now I swear!
  17. After a big clean out today, the remaining Angels and Corys are gone and the new inhabitants are waiting patiently in a much smaller tank. Also about to order a new filter 8) Before the water yet after the tedious gravel cleaning Close up on the VERY clean gravel All done! Needle Leaf Java Fern A young Twisted Val. forest Small Crypt. Sp. Sag. One of five moss rocks for the expected fry of the future inhabitants The fish in question

The rain makes washing stuff outside just that little bit more unpleasant  Not sure, one by one they'd get skinny and cark it. The rest of them would be absolutely fine strangely :-?

3 Angels, two peppered cories and the BN pair. Sad sad tank.

Yup that's the one. Had a lot of mystery deaths over the past few months :-? Don't know if I still want the angels cause they really do limit my other fish choice but the BN pair has bred at least once.

Sink full of gravel, buckets full of plants, tank full of air and a head full of ideas. Been breaking down the four footer today after a Cyano outbreak and everything was better than expected. Down to about 7 fish in total but the plants are mostly in great shape.
